Black Type Bugler

The Black Type Bugler is the official newspaper of Derbyfever.com. Written by and for game players, the online newspaper is dedicated to covering the game's major races and events, and includes features about players and game horses.

Often referred to as the BTB, the Bugler began publishing in May 2005. The game had a publication long before the BTB began operations however. The Sim racing form (popularly known as the SRF) operated from July 1999 until the name change to the BTB in 2005.

Editor-in-chief Snowchief and Managing editor Roys manage the publication, and Assistant editor Squirrel handles assignments and contributes to daily operations. Writers are game players who volunteer on an ongoing or occasional basis to assist the BTB in covering the game's most prestigious races.

In addition to event coverage, the Bugler also provides Past Performances (PPs) for all races in the sim, and is home to the DerbyFever.com Hall of Fame.
