I'd run that horse in local races and that record should improve.

Yes, a profitable case of seconditis.

You look back on only the second time she run second, in her second start. On second thought, you may consider that placing a blessing in disguise.

What if she had won that day?

Chances are, she would be suffering from a worse condition than seconditis. As it worked out, she kept her maiden and it benefited her later as she began to improve on the turf.

That was shrewd placement to see if she would run second in the listed and she did. I would try to do that again if I could.

This is not a problem filly.

Cheers!

I had never really thought of it in that light, but you're right. I would probably still be running her on the dirt.

Might throw her into a Graded race and see if she can run 2nd in that!

It could be worse, it could have been a real life problem.

I remember Hawksley Hill liked to run second a lot. Made me some money when I put Da Hoss on top of him and Labeeb in the BC Mile.
